
Membership
There are four categories of membership open to faculty, fellows, trainees, and colleagues, with a variety of ways to connect with the Centre and enhance its collaborative community of practice. Applications are reviewed by a Membership Committee quarterly.
Core Member
Description:
Prospective core members are faculty with a primary clinical appointment within the Division of General Internal Medicine, UHN/SHS. They actively contribute to the Centre; fostering excellence in practice based medical education and furthering the Centre’s mission.
Expectations:

Regularly attend and actively participate in educational rounds and Centre events
-
Regularly supervise and mentor Centre fellows and trainees
-
Regularly participate in administrative activities such as review and selection committees
-
Support and drive education and research activities
-
Foster collaborations with other leading education and research Centres
-
Disseminate high quality scholarship locally, nationally, and internationally
-
Acknowledge the Centre in all dissemination activities

Associate Member
Description:
Prospective associate members are faculty and fellow alumni with a primary clinical appointment internal or external to the Division of General Internal Medicine, UHN-SHS. They consistently engage with the Centre and collaborate on projects that foster excellence in practice based education and that help further the science of medical education, to support the Centre's mission.
Expectations:
-
Participate in educational rounds and Centre events

Collaborate on education and research initiatives in an area of interest that aligns with the Centre's mission

Collaborate on education and research initiatives with clearly defined scholarly output with academic merit
-
Acknowledge the Centre within academic outputs, and
-
Involve one Centre core member as co-author

Affiliate Member
Description:
Prospective affiliate members are faculty and fellow alumni with a primary clinical appointment internal or external to the Division of General Internal Medicine, UHN/SHS. They engage with the Centre and share knowledge and expertise in medical education scholarship to support the Centre's mission.
