Mission

The HoPingKong Centre for Excellence in Education and Practice (CEEP) is a UHN-based Medical Education Centre, whose stated mission is to serve as an "incubator" for innovative, practice-oriented programs in medical education, to provide support to senior trainees in academic General Internal Medicine (GIM), and to recruit and retain staff in high level GIM consulting practice.

CEEP is dedicated to innovation and scholarship in practice-based medical education. It was founded in 2008, firmly anchored on the clinical activities at Toronto Western Hospital (TWH), and has supported many important developments in clinical education. Historically these activities have focused around the Centre’s main pillars:

  1. Quality Improvement

  2. Education Research

  3. Art of Medicine
